How many girlfriends have you had that look just like you? Hahaha very funny Jeff, well one but that is just what people thought and it was her face compared to mine but not exactly.
Have you ever even slammed on concrete? Yes I have actually and it isn't verry fun. It was at Imperial and i missed the coping on the vert wall in the snake run and fell straight to my knees down the ramp and smashed down on the flat ground. I also got a stinger in my left arm and couldn't move it there, it was all numb and limp kinda like things Jeff enjoys.
You sure seem to like goats alot. Is that a Freeport thing? Is your high school mascot the Freeport Goats or something? No actually I hate them I came across the one I have from a peg legged Indian name Solantos. He said it would come of use at some point in time and apparently it did, Jeff?
You seem to have many several Freudian slips that reference spending intimate time with men. So what is the deal with that? is there something you want to "come out" on SkateSoup.com? Sorry I can't speak properly, but no I deffinatly don't swing the other way Jeff as much as you would like me to.
Did you just come from a renesaince fair? What is up with the Village Idiot hair cut? I don't have a hairstyle I wake up it's there if I get a shower it's wet or if I'm going somewhere it just sits there. Which ever way my hair lays is my hair for the day.
Is Village Idiot going to be the new Dirty LA Rocker Look for 2009? You know Jeff I don't know what 2009 has in store maybe I'll go with the beer belly, full beard, slicked back hair style but it wounds like someone I already know?
What is the worst job you ever had in Natrona? Blank Skate was by far the worst job in my life. The boss was a total jerk, kids don't listen to noo food or drinks in the skatepark, it was the filthiest place ever, and there were dead pigeons in the basement.
For real though I would like to thank Jeff for letting me have the chance to work on this and I hope you enjoy this as much I did making it. I would also like to thank all my friends that filmed for me.
Do you like skateboarding or not skateboarding better? Is that the
best you can come up with? i would have to say that is the single worst
interview question
ever...............ever...................................................ever
You sure seem to be doing a lot of NOT skateboarding lately. Who do you want to blame that on? Ill
blame that on your first question and maybe a bit on the weather.....oh
wait, and lazy people who would rather not skate or go walk their dogs
instead. but then again, i guess i can always go by myself.
In
2007 Kristian Svitak showered at my house. Fast forward to 2008 and you
are on 1031 Skateboards. Do you still honestly think I had nothing to
do with that? I am not on 1031 skateboards, i do get flow from them
but i help them out with internet stuff, but svitak hooks it up very
nicely, so im grateful of that. maybe if he reads this he will just go
ahead and turn me pro.
You break PittSkate.com
every couple of weeks and have to rely on poor helpless Christian and
Hanna to fix it. They didn’t do anything wrong. Yet you expect them to
just drop everything and fix it. What is up with that? i don't
expect them to do anything, i wish they would though, but the fact is
they haven't done anything with pittskate in like 2 years. They started
the site and abandoned it along with their skateboards so i guess they
are just not interested anymore.
I actually meant, What is up with PittSkate? Any plans for the upcoming year? nothing,
i wish i could change the name, i don't want to have a site that people
expect to see all the latest burgh happenings on. i want a site that i
can just post video and pics on. i don't want to feel obligated to do
all that stuff, just what i want. but pittskate gets a lot of hits so if
i start a different site ill lose all that traffic jerk. ill figure
something out.
Will it ever return to the Pink and Yellow? It
was so nostalgic for me. My first non 70's style board I got from Dirty
Harry’s in Verona in ‘86 was by a brand called Boss. It was all pink
and yellowed out complete with a lapper and that big bubble style tail
bone (aka JUNK). So I was stoked to see Pittskate honor that. I mean,
you could have picked anyone’s first board to represent, but you chose
mine. You didn’t have to, but you did. so , whats your point man, your living in the past, snap out of it buddy.
Which
number is greater? The number of minutes Repine can skate in day or the
number of toes you have minus 6 plus the square root of 81 multiplied
times 3? The answer is 39, sorry repine but you lose.
You’ve
been playing the role of father for a few years now. That puts you in
the same league as
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tony Hawk, Kirk Douglas and
Brad Pitt. That is pretty impressive. What is it like trying to balance
Skateboarding with Tea Parties? What league is that, the crappy actor media whore, tony hawk tea league, although kirk douglas was a good actor.
Part of your YOTW spot will be edited on a PC and not a MAC. Do you think that will tarnish the quality of the overall project? Yes, pc stands for "poop crack"
How many times a week do you eat out? Twice at the very most.
What does your liver have to say about that? When was the last time you spoke with your liver Jeff? are you writing these all by yourself?
What was the worst slam you ever had? Do you have the video for it? Probably
a slam behind subway in West View over a really long flat gap, i hung
up and exploded never to be seen again. There are at least 16 angles of
that one.
If you could eat only 1 vegetable for the rest of your life and it couldn’t be deep fried, what would it be? Broccoli
Has Donny Iris ever written a song about you? No, but if he does ill smack the shit outta him. Shouldn't he just go away already?
Which
one of the following makes you more of a Pittsburgher: Hating Cleveland
or washing down a Primanti’s Sandwich with an Iron City on the Incline
while on your way downtown from Mt Washington to party it up at Fire
Waters? Cleveland does suck but there are tons of spots in and
around that city, svitak knows them all. i never was a primanti fan,
that place is overrated, iron city taste like liquid trash, the incline
is cool once, and i have no idea where or what fire waters is. So i
guess thats means none of the the above.
How many times has your ass been videotaped, wiped, and kicked? -plenty of times. -what do you mean by that. Why would i wipe my ass? -seriously, i usually get it kicked shortly after wiping.
Where is the best mini ramp in Pittsburgh at? Can you give me directions? Mckinley, that metal ramp is sick, get in your car and go, you know where it is. What is this i hear that you have a rule for ollie grabs? "dont grab-em if your not gonna tweak-em" a grab is a waste if it's not tweaked.
What type of stuff do you like skating these days? Same as always ,any and everything, ill skate whatever is available, ill even skate on donnie iris's face.
Have you been to ShadySkates lately? What is the deal with all the rock climbing crap? i have no clue what you are talking about. What is shady skates?
first off, how old are you and where are you from? im 19 yrs old and i am from apollo,pa
how did you get started pushing wood?
well i would always see my
older brother skating with his friends so after so long i just picked
up a board and started doing it till this day
when did you start?
it was a little after sixth grade during the summer
are you riding for anyone nowadays? yes i am, for The Shop Skateboarding in Greensburg
hows that going for you? its
pretty rad, Eric Williams is a chill dude like everyone else on the
team. i knew most of them before i got on. its just a really chill
atmosphere when I'm around them guys
who do you skate with on the regular basis? with my boys, Luke Evanchec,Eric Calfo,Dan Peindl,Zooky,Rob Sheckler,Shreddie, and Cornhead
were you ever into pokemon?
lol
yeah i was a lil maniac with that stuff. spent hundreds of dollars and
joining the official pokemon card league. yeaaa sounds a lil gay am i
right? what kind of shoes do you like to wear?
i
like a solid vulcanized shoe with good support and padding for my
messed up ankles. i will regret that when im olddd and in pain
video in the works? yes indeed, should be dropping sometime next fall or so. keep an eye on updates on the fwsskate blog
whats up with your carcass throwing on them handrails? lol,
i knew that would be brought up. well i just love to skate a good rail
even though i pay the price a lot of the time, but i wouldn't want it any
other way. a good fall makes you know your alive in this world. in fact
i don't feel too hyped when i don't have any bumps or bruises what else are you doing other than skating? well
right now I'm just working night shifts up at walmart and getting ready
for classes in the spring. other than that I'm just chilling with the
girl and with my bros
if a dog chased a car that was going at 23 mph would you make me a salami sandwich?
wow for just thinking of that i sure would
do you enjoy being tickled or the tickler?
well i HATe being tickled so it would be nice to be on the other end i suppose
if you had to live with someone everyday for the rest of your life starting now who would that be?
geez
thats a toughy cause being around for a long period will make you go at
each others throats in sometime, but i would choose my gf if that would
happen
what website do you visit the most?
deff youtube. im always watching some wierd videos for laughs. lol
If you could have lunch with any two people in the world dead or alive who would they be in order?
hmmmmmm chuck norris and bruce lee. sounds like a kickinggggg lunch
hows skating in the alle-kiski? its sucks man, spots are rare, cops are ridiculous so I'm not around here too much.
whats your favorite thing besides skating?
hmmm running over helpless scooter kids at tarentum park what about tarentum park? lol don't even get me started about that place. i go there a few times a
week if there's nothing else going on or just to warm up.the park is
great don't get me wrong, but the tarnys that hang outside of it are the
reason why it gets frustrating. they ruin the park for all of us
any last words? id like to thank jeff revilla for this interview, blank skate RIP,
FromTheGroundUp, fws crew, one up, friends,my brother chris, and god+
How long Have you been skating? I
started skating the Thanksgiving of 2001. I was on vacation with one of
my friends in Florida, we were at Ron Jons Surf Shop, and that's where I
bought my first skateboard at. It was a Chad Fernandez World
Industries with a girl bending over drinking milk out of a bowl. She
had like a cat ear hair band and she was wearing a thong. The graphic
looked sweet for a 13 year old horn ball.
Where would you be if you weren't into skateboarding? Dude,
I have no idea. I would be lost in life, but when I sit down and think
about it i would probably be in Florida where my mom currently lives being
a beach bum. Although I think I'm going there anyways, but I'll get to
that later.
What is your favorite trick? Ah yes dude I'm so
glad you asked that. Ever since the first time I saw the Foundation
video uuuhhhh I believe its That's Life and seeing Daniel Shimizu, I love
backside smith grinds! He is honestly the steeziest guy when it comes
to that trick. I've
always tried to make mine look like his but that's obviously nearly
impossible because I dont wear tight pants, have long hair, and I don't
have a good style in my opinion.
Well off of skateboarding....
What comes to mind when I say Tiffany S? Are
you serious dude......this is out for the whole entire world to see. I
hate you by the way, YOU SUCK! Well I have to answer these questions so
to be honest with you I think of a mistake in life. For everyone to
know Tiff was a girl that practically molested me in front of all of my
friends including Jason who is a dousche. I was drinking one night at a
small get together I threw and genius here (Jason Dousche) decides to
call up these girls that I later find out are mentally insane. I
got dominated and she got all over me it was bad. But I'm leaving the details out and did I mention I hate you Jason.
Ok Ok Ok sorry back on track....
What was one of the most nerve wrecking experiences that you've had? Hahahaha
here is a good one. It's with Jason actually. For the world to know Jason
Kurtiak has hit more deer in one week then every hunter in Pennsylvania
has shot in a year. He and I were on our way to his house from a
night out of having fun and there just so happens to be a dead deer carcass lying in the middle of the only lane we could be in. Yea I said
it a DEAD DEER not alive. So this retard notices that he is about to
dominate this thing, he looks over at me with the most ridiculous scared
face I've ever seen and we both just go in shock. For me everything was
in slow motion. We hit this thing goin about 55 and we are freaking out.
So we pull over on the side of the road by a Freeport bar to check
everything out right. We get out of the car and this overly drunk lady comes
out of the bar and asks us whats wrong. So we explain everything and
she goes "oh ok dont worry I'm going to go to my house and grab my dog
and he can fix this". So we both decide right there we need to get the
you know what out of here because this lady crazy and maybe an ex
murderer. So we just try to make it home, the car is making bad
grinding noises directly under our seats beneath the car, plus the car
wont go past 30 mph. So we get about half way to his house and a car is
tailgating us pretty bad. We tell them to pass and next thing we know
its a cop and he pulls us over. Let me remind you we aren't in the
greatest condition and we just got pulled over for shooting sparks from
under the car because of the deer. The cop comes up to the window and
goes "Do you know you guys are shooting sparks from under your car?".
Jason replies "Yeah man we just hit a dead deer in the middle of the
road coming into Freeport and I'm just trying to get home" The
cop checks everything out and phones it in so they can get the deer
out of the middle of the road. He comes back to the window about 5
minutes later saying that we are liars and there was no deer. To sum
this up, the cop just ends up following us to Jason's so we make it back
safe. Thank god he didn't give us sobriety test or what ever those are
called because if so I probably wouldn't be doing this interview
haha. But yeah that was the one of the most nerve wrenching times I've
been threw all the other ones probably aren't suitable for this
interview. But realistically Jason isn't THAT BAD of a driver and it
wasn't his fault.
If a pig and an elephant made love what would be the outcome? Honostly,
for people who know you I believe you are the only one who would ask
this and really want to know. So its easy man. A porkaphentapig duh!
But don't ever ask me to describe what it looks like because I've never
saw one before.
Back to all seriousness again....
Out of all the crazy hair styles that you've had what is your favorite? Did you still get girls with the dew?
Hahaha
ok my favorite one that I've had was the old man hair cut dude. To
describe it for everybody, you know when you see an old man who has
absolutely no hair on top of his head but has that horse shoe like ring
around the sides and back of his head? Yeah, I recreated that with
my very own noggin. I mean it was sweet because I used to wear beanies
all the time and when I would take it off people would double take it
was so funny. I would just crack up when i went to restaurants and
stuff. I had that hair cut for about a month and a half it was sweet. As for the ladies though I never recommend doing that for chicks. I got no where with that one. Oh well.
If you were to pick one skateboarder that has influenced you
the most who would it be and why? I
would have to go with David Gravette. Have you seen that guy he just
tosses his carcass down whatever, gets broke, and does it again till he
lands it. Hes insane! He also is the definition of a true robot sent
back in time to conquer every aspect of skateboarding and rub it in
peoples faces. Why would I want to be like that? It hurts just
watching him fall. I don't want to experience that pain but if he does
it though, rad man....rad.
Coke or Pepsi? Niether......the real question is beer or liquor haha
In loving memory of Joel Bachman's dad explain the story of going to his house in New York and why it was awesome. Alright,
for the record Joel's dad Terry Bachman I love you man and I know your
watching down on all of us, probably laughing uncontrollably but your the
man I'll remember forever, rest in peace. As it goes my friends Joel,
Josh, and Jason (the 3 J's of death) were just hanging at my house.
Joel asks all of us if we want to go with him to visit his dad in New
York and we all agreed. The trip there was crazy I wont get into
details but Joel's dad gives us the
great idea of buying a cheap skateboard and skate off the pier into
Lake Erie. So we do and we use a fishing line to keep fetching the
board back which eventually fails later but it was awesome. Then
afterwards we get back to his dads and he cooks the most bomb steak and
corn on the cob on the grill. Wow best thing ever. It was sick though I
wish i could repeat that day everyday.
What do you do besides skate for hobbies? I
like to make music man. I play drums pretty decent but since I had to
recently get rid of my drum set I got into playing guitar. I'm not the
greatest but I'm not the worst you know. I've made my own songs and written a lot of stuff the I think is awesome. Music has become a big part of my life. I love it. I also love to draw. Its the best
way to express the jacked up ideas i have floating around in my head haha. Edit
skate videos of me and my friends, and play video games dude. Seriously
who doesn't anymore. Ok I'm a nerd but screw you its fun. Last but
not least, Party! I'm down for meeting new people and that's the easiest
place to do it. I love being around people and being the center of
attention. Plus there are so many crazy people out there who wouldn't
want to meet them haha.
Whats your favorite food? Broccolli and cheese soup son HANDS DOWN, and Taco Bell of coarse
Whats the worst job you ever got stuck doing? I
used to work as a landscaper/carpenter depending on the jobs. It was
for this guy named Kieth. He was the biggest jackass on the face of
this planet dude. He never managed money right to pay everyone, and all
the jobs were so stupid. I remember this one time we were supposed
to build this deck that was supposed to take 2 weeks to get done. It
took us over a month and a half and we got paid by the job so thats how
long I had to wait to get paid. I hated that job. I mean the deck
turned out sick but the job itself SSSSUUUUUCCCCKKKKEEEDDD.
Ok......I know that Josh wanted to get a guest question in this so here it is
How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could Chuck Norris? Hahaha
man this ones easy....it could chuck so much wood that it would put the
world into a state of being enviermently friendly more by demanding
that everyone starts going "green" haha. Chuck Norris your the man.
How much pressure does it take for human legs to break? Have
you seen these guns man. I know no one can see this but i just flexed
and i knocked Jason threw his wall and i think he peed his pants a
little. I bet he wont ever ask that question again.
Ok I guess I can get into the the big suprise of this thing. . . . .
EX GIRLFRIEND INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Jeff
thought it would be awesome if I got an ex girlfriend of mine to
interview me so I did and here's the questions. The girl I got to do it
was my last girlfriend Noelle. I'm not going to lie I'm nervous.
How have you changed since we broke up for the better? Well....Ive
been working on organizing my life a lot. I'm looking into schools for
college and just trying to prepare myself for the future. Granted
things have been a little bumpy but things also have worked out pretty
good. I'm a lot closer with my family now more than ever and they have
been supporting me in everything I've been wanting to do. I also
have chilled out more. Ive learned to be focused on whats happening and
whats going to happen. I'm not just a guy who is letting everything slip
away anymore. I know I used to be that way but I'm more focused now on
setting my goals how and work to achieve them. I've
been trying to get healthier more too. I'm working on quitting smoking
which is better just not fully done, i mean i still feel like i need at
least one a day but its better than a pack you know. I worked out for a
while running and lifting weights. I was banging it out consecutively
but now through who I was doing it with things have changed. I'm not friends with them anymore that's why things changed for who wants to know.
For the worse? Haha
I knew this one was coming. Well for the worse I was drinking a lot to
the point where people sat me down and said that I was an alcoholic. As
we speak im going to A.A. classes because I got caught drinking at a
steeler game tailgating. I still party quite a bit and I know that
is a problem, but for people who know me im not letting that get in my
way. Im still doing what needs to be done.
Do you regret
anything? For
a yes or no question, yes. Im sure everyone has regrets in thier lives
but would i change anything, not one bit. I do wish i could stop
smoking and drinking because thats not how i want to go out you know
what I mean. I do regret not taking every free moment that I have to
skate and do more positive things.
Do you miss me? For
everyone in the world to know, yes I do. We had good times and people
in past relationships feel me I'm sure. Yes I miss you if that's what you
want me to admit in front of the entire internet world.
Would you have ever cheated on me if you knew I wouldn't find out? Ive
always been the type to stand strong with not cheating. It is the worst
thing a person can do. Why would you ever want to put someone through
that pain. No I would never ever ever cheat on you period even if you
wouldn't find out.
What's the most embarrassing thing you did in front of me? Hahaha
well this could be a lot! What I have in mind I cant say but im going
to try to do this. Probably either when you have watched me do number 2
or when you have been my spotter for number 1 hahaha. Sorry I had to
say it.
What are you doing with your life now? Making tons of music, skating, getting my life together, and drinking.......yeah im being honost
What do you want in your life right now? Hhhhhmmmmm........A unlimited supply of money, my own island, and success
What's something you wish you could understand better? And
another easy one......Girls! They are the most complex confusing beings
in the world. If someone figures them out hit me up seriously. My
number is 867-5309
Are you looking forward to anything? Yes,
school and this awesome job that just today actually my friend is
hooking me up with. It involves a lot of traveling which i would love
to do and the pay is perfect. Improving skating is also up there plus
making a full length skate video is going to be sick. Hopefully someone
hits me back on my number too when they find the key to girls I'm definitely looking forward to that.
THE END -- Finally
Well
now I would like to take this time to say thank you so much to Jeff
Revilla for picking me to do this interview. I had a lot of fun doing
it. I hope there is a million more to come. Jeff has always been there
for me and I want to thank him for being my inspiration in life and for
being my teacher. This guy has tought me so much about anything and
everything. Jeff your the man and I hope the best for you and your
family. Happy Holidays to everyone and thanks for reading this.
O
yeah thank you also to my friends Josh, Jason and everyone thats close
to me. My family, and last to Noelle for being a trooper and doing this
for me.
Peace Wierdos
SIDE NOTES ON CHRIS'S INTERVIEW: I added a few photos that are a little dated. Being it is a little bit close to winter we didn't actually go out and shoot any photos. However, I figured you would be more upset if we did not have any photos than if we used some older photos.

The first Yinzer of the Weak has finally come upon us. Before you read any further and/or read any future Y.O.T.W. interviews I want to lay out the premise for you. These are open format interviews that the featured rider of the week can put together. They can work on their own project. I can assist them with questions if they like, but 99% of the article comes from them.
I am stoked on this format. It is going to develop into something very special and very different. Each interview will be a snapshot of that rider's life and time in skateboarding in Pittsburgh.
The YOTW series will be different from your standard "I ask a question/You Answer a Question" format. It is completely open for the rider to do whatever he/she wants.
I don't offer this as a disclaimer, but as a means for you to understand where the series is coming from. As the concept grows, so will the abstract and the awkward in depths of the interviews. Each interview will build upon the last and add its own creative twist. The YOTW is truly going to be crafted by those who contribute to it, not by the editors of Skate Soup. And that is what I am most excited about.
Get Ready, the Chris Morgan Interview Launches Wednesday 12/17/2008 at Noon!
Thanks for all the support we have been getting on Yinzer of the Weak. We have gotten many submissions and feedback on the site.
The truth is we slapped this idea together last week and told Chris Morgan that he was first. Not 100% completely fair to him, but he has 95% of everything ready to go. He is just working on editing up a video and as soon as he gets that uploaded we will have everything published.
We are going to launch a new Y.O.T.W. every Wednesday. Future Yinzers currently working on parts are Dom Scanga of the Shop in Greensburg, Steve Dimbokowitz of 1031 Skateboards, Curtis George of Modified Skateboards and Pipes Skatepark, and Dave Kaule. Even tho we did not get to launch it today we did secure some more local skaters for this section and will continue to lay out a schedule to make sure everything runs smoothly. Most people will have 1-2 months to work on parts and I am sure that is fine with them.
Thanks again to Chris Morgan for working hard on getting this done. The concept for his interview is totally sweet and worth the wait.
